Ok so that last post about spring cleaning was for my everyday account ladysapphire , i posted it to that account but somehow it ended up in this accont as well.... how weird.
Sorry I dont up date this account more. Wedding stuff is slow right now... but is quickly picking up. I have a make-up trial run on sunday and a hair trial run and dress fitting on tuesday so there will be mucho photos up next weekend with some updates! |

WAHOO!!!
Ok so my fiance and I are getting married at the Willard Intercontinental in Wash. DC. And yesterday we got a letter form them saying that to make our wedding extra special they are giving us the hotel part of a honeymoon!!! We get 7 consecutive nights at any Intercontinental Hotel in the US, Mexico and Canada. Since we have already booked and paid for our honeymoon (2 weeks in Hawaii and Kauai) we are going to use the vochures to go to somewhere in Mexico next January for like a 6 month getaway!! We have 8 hotels in Mexico to chose from, but it is basically a $2100 wedding gift since Intercontinental is not cheap and runs about $300-$400 a night for the CHEAP room!!
So excited!!
This weekend is our Engaged Encounter for the Catholic Church. Not comepletely excited but I am hoping to go in with an open mind!! Current Mood:  crazy |

I know I haven't updated in a long while. So here goes. Wedding plans are going well. Finally sent out the Save-the-Dates that I made back in like November. They were so cute. I printed them off my computer on the from the top line read "he asked her here" under that is a pic of the eiffel tower and under that it said "and she said 'yes'" and in side it said "so save the date" and all the good info. So far everyone who has told me they got one has loved it!! Ordered my dress and the bridesmaid dresses, ordered my shoes and bought my bra. I am still trying to find bridesmaids shoes i like, go with the dress, and the girls can wear again. So i am trying to stay away from died to match. Who will wear a celedon (think celery) green shoe again?? The honeymoon is booked, we got our cake lady, flowers we are still negotiating prices and picking what we want. We got our engagement photos back. www.pictage.com and search for last name "hilber" my sister's wedding pictures will probably come up, check them out if you want, but our engagement photos will have my name attatched instead of hers. Chris and I ordered some for some relatives for Christmas. They were supposed to be in before Christmas..... not in yet. Though my photographer said she had them in hand on Monday and was over nighting them... havent got them yet. But maybe they will come today!! I hope they come today! Thats about all thats new! Got my engagement photos back and I will for the umptenth time attempt to post a photo on LJ... I have issues.... so this one is my favorite one of us (even though you cant tell its us) we are kissing in a huge tree!! Its also my icon!

Just a little update
Nothing terribly exciting in the wonderful world of bridalland.
Got enagagement photos back from photographer, ordeirng wedding dress on tuesday, 8 months and two days to go!
Thats bout it. School sucks... Only 6 more months and I will have my B.S. in Communication. Still don't know what I want to do when I graduate. But I am definitly anxious to start a family soon. Give me two years though to get used to living with Chris!

YEAH!!!!
WE GOT THE CHURCH!!!! Fr. John is holding the date for us and wont book anyother ceremonies for that day!! We also have recently booked the band, hotel and photographer. We just need cake and flowers. We know who we want for cakes, the store is called Terracocoa and the woman who owns/runs it works with Martha Stewart on occasion. As for flowers, the guy who did my sister's wedding, which was so fabulous, has left the business... very unfortunate, but we are looking at some other top names in DC. :) I can't wait. I get to try on dresses for the first time next tuesday!! I think I already know which designer I like.. I have pulled a lot of designs by Lazaro :) Can't wait! |

Yeah, things suck right now. We still dont have the church. Father Michael and Father John are not talking or always out of town and they need to talk so we can set the wedding date, since officaly we should have the wedding in "chris' church" the church closest to him, but we want to get married in the church down here so the two priests from the two churches need to talk... we are going on 2 and 1/2 weeks here since we completed our prenup... not a happy bride to be!! Wento on Wed. with my mom and wedding planner Aryan to hotels for reception site. Looks like it will be downtown DC. we went to the Willard Intercontinental Hotel, St Regis and the Four Seasons. The Willard stole my heart so we may be having the reception there, we are penciled in for the 16th of July. Still debating whether to have 3 pr 5 bridesmaids... I may just say screw it and get 5 because I want five and chris only has 4 he wants so we may be off a number.. but we cant find a ring bearer so the extra bridesmaid and the flower girl can always pair up :) Just a thought! I have a dress appointment to try on an insane number of dresses on the 7th. Thats about it for now Hopefully the priests will start talking soon! Current Mood:  frustrated |

Nothing new to report
still working on the church thing. Chris and I have a prenup meeting with Father Michael from St Gregory's on Tuesday and then supposedly we can book Epiphany of our Lord. Been looking at dresses online. Courtney and my mom are taking me wedding dress shopping next monthday (the 16th). So far I am really liking the disgner Lazaro click here (http://www.lazarobridal.com/) to check out his site. the wedding theme/colors will be paris/versaille and cream, light pink and gold. Starting guest lists, surprisingly I dont have many people on my list (minus relatives and parents friends) so it will be a smaller wedding. probably about 150 -175 invited and roughly about 125 showing up (just guessing at this point).

Well nothing exciting going on here... not at all.... nope nope nope... waiting for some church stuff to go through (have no idea how long that will take) so we can reserve our church. can't do anything till we get the church though it will be a very small wedding... well compared to my sister. maybe only 100-150 people there/invited. the wedding party will be extremely small only 2 or 3 on each side, mainly realtives... my sister and future sister in law plus maybe one more person and chris will have my brother and todd (my brother in law) and bryant (my sister and todd's best man who is also really good friends with my future hubby) thats about all CHEERS!
